With M.O.M. 13 Genesis, we established a stronger foundation for the next generation of Multichannel Order Manager. M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 1 built on that foundation with customer-driven improvements across the everyday workflows merchants rely on.
Today, we’re excited to announce M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2, continuing that momentum with new capabilities and enhancements designed to make M.O.M. more connected, efficient, and flexible.
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 delivers improvements across shipping, Shopify, BigCommerce, purchasing, inventory, eCommerce management, and everyday operations with many of these enhancements originating directly from real-world customer needs.
Release Highlights
Smarter Shipping and Rate Management
Shipping is one of the biggest areas of advancement in M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2.
Merchants using Shippo can now take advantage of enhancements designed to provide greater control over the rates and services their teams use every day.
New capabilities include using negotiated Shippo carrier rates as the base freight amount during order entry while preserving existing M.O.M. shipping rules such as handling fees, markups, COD charges, free shipping, and surcharges.
Rate Shop also becomes more focused with preferred carrier filters for UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL, along with the ability to display only eligible One Rate results when desired.
Additional improvements help merchants make smarter packaging decisions by considering box maximum-weight capacity and container weight, while new USPS HAZMAT functionality supports passing applicable HAZMAT shipment information through Shippo.
Together, these enhancements give shipping and customer service teams greater control over rates, carriers, packaging, and everyday shipping decisions.
Stronger Shopify Operations
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 continues the modernization of our Shopify integration.
The release advances the connector’s transition toward Shopify’s GraphQL architecture and introduces improvements to Shopify POS workflows, inventory handling, and order processing.
Shopify POS orders can be handled with better awareness of their retail origin, while inventory improvements address synchronization scenarios where POS transactions could result in incorrect available quantities.
Additional refinements address tax calculation discrepancies that could create small payment differences during Shopify order processing.
The result is a stronger connection between M.O.M. and the evolving Shopify ecosystem.
Expanded BigCommerce Capabilities
BigCommerce merchants will also find several important enhancements in M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2.
Support for product configurations expands from three to five variant dimensions, providing additional flexibility for merchants with more complex catalogs.
Order processing has also been improved for large BigCommerce orders containing more than 50 line items, helping ensure the complete order moves into M.O.M.
And customer messages entered with a BigCommerce order can now flow into M.O.M. Order Notes, helping important customer information remain visible to the teams responsible for processing and fulfilling the order.
More Efficient Purchasing
Purchasing workflows continue to evolve in M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2.
New Purchase Order import capabilities are designed to reduce the effort involved in building POs from supplier-provided information.
This is particularly valuable for businesses working with changing supplier quantities, partial shipments, surplus inventory, closeouts, and other purchasing scenarios where incoming inventory may not follow a simple, predictable process.
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 also improves supplier lookup functionality within Purchasing Level Information, making everyday purchasing tasks easier to navigate.
Faster eCommerce Product Management
Managing large eCommerce catalogs can require making the same change across hundreds or thousands of products.
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 introduces a more efficient way to manage targeted product lists through Maintain e-Comm Products.
Users can work from imported stock-number lists to perform mass enable or disable operations for selected eCommerce channels and stores, reducing the need to manually locate and select each product.
It’s another example of our focus on reducing repetitive work while giving merchants more control over their connected commerce operations.
Everyday Workflow Improvements
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 also includes enhancements throughout the application that address the smaller workflows that can make a meaningful difference in daily operations.
Improvements include expanded support for longer and alphanumeric imported order identifiers, customer-specific flexibility around Order on Review, and barcode support for the Product Manufacturing report.
Individually, these changes solve specific customer needs. Together, they continue our focus on making M.O.M. easier and more adaptable to the businesses that depend on it.
