M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 continues our focus on making everyday work in M.O.M. faster, easier, and more efficient.
Built from customer feedback and real-world business needs, this release introduces practical enhancements across shipping, Shopify, BigCommerce, purchasing, inventory, eCommerce management, and everyday productivity.
Whether you’re quoting freight, processing online orders, managing inventory, purchasing products, or maintaining your eCommerce catalog, these improvements are designed to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and give your team greater control.
Shipping & Rate Management
Negotiated Shippo Rates for Freight Calculation
M.O.M. can now use real-time negotiated carrier rates returned through Shippo as the base freight amount during order entry and order total calculation.
Your existing M.O.M. shipping logic such as handling fees, markups, COD charges, free shipping, and surcharges continues to apply on top of the negotiated rate.
This gives Customer Service Representatives a better foundation for quoting freight before fulfillment while helping merchants maintain greater control over shipping costs and margins.
Preferred Carrier Filters in Rate Shop
Rate shopping is now more focused with configurable carrier preferences for UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL.
Preferred carriers can be saved with a Rate Shop shipping method mapping and automatically applied when Rate Shop opens. Users can still adjust those selections for an individual shipment whenever needed.
If no carrier preferences are configured, all available rates continue to display by default.
One Rate Results Filter
Merchants using eligible One Rate services can now focus Rate Shop results specifically on those options.
A new Show One Rate Results Only setting removes other carrier and service results from the list when enabled, making applicable One Rate services easier to identify.
When the setting is disabled, existing rate-shopping behavior remains unchanged.
Smarter Box Selection
Box templates can now account for both available volume and maximum weight capacity when determining an appropriate container for an order.
This helps prevent a box from being selected simply because the products physically fit when their combined weight exceeds the container’s configured capacity.
Container Weight Support
Packaging itself can contribute significantly to shipment weight.
M.O.M. can now account for the weight of the selected container when determining the actual shipment weight. For example, a 30-pound product packed in a 10-pound crate can be represented as a 40-pound shipment.
USPS HAZMAT Support Through Shippo
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 adds support for passing applicable HAZMAT shipment information through Shippo for USPS shipments.
This helps incorporate USPS HAZMAT information into the M.O.M. shipping workflow for applicable shipments.
Shopify Enhancements
Shopify GraphQL Modernization
The M.O.M. Shopify connector has been updated as part of the transition from Shopify’s legacy REST architecture toward its GraphQL Admin API.
This modernization helps keep M.O.M.’s Shopify integration aligned with Shopify’s evolving platform and product API architecture.
Improved Shopify POS Order Handling
Shopify POS transactions can now be handled with better awareness of their retail origin instead of being treated simply as standard web orders.
This gives merchants greater operational context when Shopify POS transactions enter M.O.M.
Improved Shopify POS Inventory Accuracy
Inventory handling has been improved for Shopify POS order imports to prevent POS transactions from incorrectly increasing available inventory in M.O.M.
Correct quantities can then flow through subsequent inventory synchronization rather than pushing an inflated inventory value back to Shopify.
This helps reduce manual inventory corrections while maintaining more accurate quantities between M.O.M. and Shopify.
Improved Shopify Tax Processing
Enhancements address scenarios where Shopify orders imported with tax amounts could encounter a one-cent difference when sales tax was recalculated during processing.
The improvement helps reduce payment discrepancies and unnecessary intervention when processing affected Shopify orders.
BigCommerce Enhancements
Expanded BigCommerce Product Variants
BigCommerce product support has been expanded from three to five variant dimensions.
Merchants with more complex products can now represent additional product options through the M.O.M. BigCommerce integration, providing greater flexibility for catalog publishing and synchronization.
Improved Large-Order Downloads
The BigCommerce connector has been improved to properly handle orders containing more than 50 line items.
This helps ensure that large BigCommerce orders are brought into M.O.M. with their complete set of order lines rather than stopping after the first 50.
BigCommerce Customer Messages in Order Notes
Customer messages entered with BigCommerce orders can now be mapped into M.O.M. Order Notes.
Customer Service and fulfillment teams gain easier access to important customer-provided information without needing to look outside the M.O.M. order.
Purchasing
Purchase Order Import
M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 introduces new Purchase Order import capabilities designed to reduce manual PO creation.
Businesses can use supplier-provided information to help build Purchase Orders in M.O.M., supporting purchasing scenarios where products, quantities, pricing, vendor information, or expected availability may originate outside the system.
This can be particularly useful for merchants working with surplus merchandise, closeouts, changing supplier quantities, and partial shipments.
Better Support for Changing and Partial Supplier Orders
Purchase Order import capabilities help businesses work with supplier orders that change after the original commitment.
For merchants receiving partial quantities over multiple shipments, imported purchasing information provides a more efficient foundation for tracking what has shipped and what remains outstanding.
Improved Supplier Lookup
Supplier lookup using F2 is now available more consistently when working with Purchasing Level Information.
This restores a familiar M.O.M. lookup workflow and makes supplier selection easier during everyday purchasing tasks.
eCommerce Management
Import Product Lists for Mass eCommerce Updates
Maintaining product availability across eCommerce channels is now easier for large or targeted product lists.
The Maintain e-Comm Products workflow can accept imported stock-number lists from supported spreadsheet or CSV files, allowing users to apply existing mass enable/disable functionality to the imported products.
Files can contain stock numbers using familiar identifiers such as Stock Number, StockNo, Item, or SKU.
Validate Products Before Processing
Imported product lists are validated before changes are applied.
M.O.M. can identify invalid stock numbers, blank entries, and duplicates and provide users with a preview before processing valid products.
This gives teams greater confidence when performing large eCommerce catalog updates.
Order Management & Everyday Productivity
Expanded External Order Number Support
Imported order identifiers can now better align with M.O.M.’s Alternate Order Number capabilities, including support for longer and alphanumeric external order identifiers.
This improves compatibility with eCommerce platforms and external order systems that don’t rely on short numeric order numbers.
Customer-Specific Order on Review Exemption
Organizations can designate specific customers to bypass the Order on Review process while leaving the existing review workflow unchanged for other customers.
This gives businesses additional flexibility when trusted or selected customers don’t require the same review process applied to other orders.
Product Manufacturing Report Barcode
Barcode support has been added to the Product Manufacturing report, providing an additional tool for businesses that incorporate scanning into their manufacturing workflow.
Updated M.O.M. 13.2 Help
M.O.M. Help has been updated to reflect M.O.M. 13 Genesis Release 2 functionality, including applicable setup information, workflows, prerequisites, notes, and user guidance.
This gives users an updated reference as they begin working with the new release.
